Bernard if you hold a Maters Degree, why do you need an internship, why not open a practice?

As a foreigner the first thing you need to do is approach SAQA (the South African Qualifications Authority), and the HPCSA (the Health Professions Council of South Africa), in order to evaluate your previous qualification in comparison to South African qualifications. In order to practice in South Africa you need a practice number from the HPCSA; they regulate scopes of practice and ethical standards of care for health practitioners. You can type their names in google and go to their sites for contact details.

They will inform you of what steps to take and how to set yourself up for practice, and whether you need any further training.

Good Luck!!
