Bonni - what a surprise. This was out of the blue! What a laugh . I nearly pissed myself when I reread it. I meant it as a mild rebuke to you! In short i was telling you to enjoy your hard won, hard currency holiday woman!
yes there is a degree of the contempt i hold psychotherapists in but it was slightly tongue in cheek , but only slightly. The breed is upon us and the national exploitation of the "science" and what it can do for the power of the state keeps it in clover and foists it on the average "joe" true but you are not going away. modern man and his sickness is in exponential growth and it looks like the power of the state and it's desire to oppression through medication ( see the Soviet use of doctors) and recently the use of medical and psychiatric practitioners in these two past wars.
It doesn't surprise me that you have thrown in your lot with the whole movement , its inner cabal is after all the equivalent of a secret society and the hush that descends on a dinner party when you mention that your a practising psychotherapist is akin to being eyed by a lion on the veldt at dusk , alone and exposed , with no rifle or toilet paper.
Send this if you will but it is quite tongue in cheek. I have amended some of the more flighty passages but frankly it comes as a whole rather than an amended piece - have the fun of reading it is its humour and high blown accusations of chicanary and mumbo jumbo.
